ZINCALUME® steel is our premium Zinc-Aluminium alloy coated steel, widely used for roofing and walling applications in the construction industry where long life is critical.

ZINCALUME® steel was developed as a result of extensive research into improving the performance of traditional galvanised steel. An alloy coating (55% Aluminium, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Silicon) is applied over the base steel using a continuous hot-dip process.

The product typically comes with a maximum 150 gram per square meter of metallic coating with an option of 200 gram per square meter for more severe environment. The researchers have developed this alloy coating which helps to greatly enhance the corrosion resistance as compared to galvanised steel.

The excellent barrier properties of Aluminium and sacrificial properties of Zinc imparts corrosion resistance of upto 4 times that of traditional galvanised steel. The small spangles of ZINCALUME® steel provide it smooth finish and the tested surface treatment helps retain its luster for a longer period of time.

High yield strength of the base steel makes ZINCALUME® steel the preferred option for construction requiring strength and the formable steel grades enable excellent flexibility in design.

At the same time ZINCALUME® steel is lighter and easier to handle, thereby making it a better option than conventional building product enabling quick completion while putting lesser load on the supporting structures.

Roofs and Walls made from ZINCALUME® steel also complement the environment by way of recyclability, reusability & reducibility.

ZINCALUME® steel is manufactured and supplied as per Australian Standard AS1397, ISO 9364 and is tested as per ASTM-117 A792M standards.
