  • Mr. Sanjay Dayal commenced as Chief Executive Asia with BlueScope on January 5, 2009. He is responsible for leading BlueScope's businesses in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Company's joint venture with Tata Steel in India. Prior to joining BlueScope, Mr Dayal was General Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Orica Mining Services where he managed its Asia division. Mr Dayal is based at BlueScope Asia regional headquarters in Singapore.
    Anand Sen Mr. Anand Sen is President, TQM & Steel Business at Tata Steel and is responsible for the steel business including marketing & sales and for the promotion of TQM across Tata Steel India.

    Mr. Sen graduated from IIT Kharagpur as a Metallurgical Engineer and joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in the year 1981. Subsequently, he completed his PGDBM (Marketing) from IIM, Kolkata and also has an Executive MBA from CEDEP at INSEAD, France. He has worked across Marketing and Sales, Strategy and Business Leadership, Operations and Projects in his more than three decade long career.  He led the company’s foray into branded steel from India’s first dedicated Steel Distribution Channel and was associated with the development of specialized steel for the automotive industry. Under his leadership Tata Steel successfully challenged the Deming Grand Prize, the highest award in the field of Quality.  

    Narendra Kumar Misra

    Mr. Atul Gogna is the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for NS BlueScope Coated Products, based in Singapore. He is responsible for all strategy and marketing activities for midstream as well as downstream business in Asia and North America. Prior to this he headed Strategy & Business Development for Alcoa Asia Pac and Alcoa Architectural Products, which included significant acquisition work in China and India. He also worked for 4 years for Boston Consulting Group doing strategy consulting for various Industrial and Oil & Gas clients in India, China and ASEAN. Before that he spent 6 years in Indonesia working for Asia Pulp & Paper, where he was General Manager of the specialty coated paper business. He has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and port-graduate degree in Business.

    Charlie Elias Mr. Charlie Elias joined BlueScope Steel as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in March 2008. He is responsible for finance, treasury, taxation, supply, investor relations, investments, audit and insurance. Prior to this, he was CFO and Director for Linfox Group and CFO, Director and General Manager Strategy and Business Development for TXU Australia. He began his career with Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Consultant. Mr. Elias is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


    Mr. Sudhansu Pathak is currently the Vice President (Steel Manufacturing) at Tata Steel. A metallurgical engineer and a PGDBM (XLRI), has done his General Management from CEDEP, France. He joined Tata Steel on 2nd July, 1984 as a graduate trainee and has held various positions including Chief of the Steel melting shops in the Long and Flat products areas, Chief Of TOP (total operational performance), Chief Aspire Long Products, Chief Manufacturing Flat Products, is in the present role from 1st Nov.2013. He has over 28 years of experience at Tata Steel in various functions. During his tenure at Tata Steel, has worked in various capacities in the Steel making, Improvement Initiatives and manufacturing. After having spent 18 years in the operations, moved to the improvement area in 2002,as Chief of TOP for the company, a very successful improvement initiative at Tata Steel. This was followed by a stint in the Aspire initiative in the company till 2004. In 2004, returned to the manufacturing area. During his stay at Tata steel has been associated with the commissioning of new facilities, up gradations, introduction of new technologies.

    Simon Linge is currently the Project Director at BlueScope Steel working in the USA. He is a Bachelor Of Economics (Honours) from The University of Western Australia. He has a strong general management experience with proven record for delivering results to the bottom line. He has an extensive experience in a broad range of business disciplines, including supply chain, logistics, marketing, account management and human resources. His specialities include general management, strategic marketing and business development, strategic relationship management and human capital development


    Mr. Patrick Finan is the Executive General Manager of BlueScope’s new Global Building and Construction Markets (GBCM) business development group, reporting to Paul O’Malley, Managing Director & CEO.
    Patrick joined BlueScope in 2004 and served as President of Butler Manufacturing before being named President BlueScope Buildings North America in 2008.   In his new role, he will assist the country's Presidents to rapidly improve sales in the growing building and construction markets.

    Mr. Ian Cummin has almost 20 years of experience serving on Executive Leadership teams of major Australian publicly listed companies. He has extensive organisational change management experience, including mergers and acquisitions, remuneration governance, executive talent development and industrial relations. He has had key roles in Public Policy Development and Safety Management.
    Ian joined BlueScope in 2003 as Executive General Manager – People and Organisation Performance with responsibility for HR, Corporate Affairs and Safety. He has served as a Director on the board of BUTLER Manufacturing following the acquisition by BlueScope, acted in the capacity of President of NZ Steel, served as an independent Non-Executive Director of IFS – a superannuation investment company with A$40b under management, and is a member of Deakin University Vice Chancellor’s Advisory Group.

    Ms. Samita Shah is Group Head – Corporate Finance & Risk Management at Tata Steel. She looks after the financing requirements of the Tata Steel Group and is responsible for raising capital from local and international banks as well as capital markets.  Ms. Shah is also responsible for risk management and has spearheaded the implementation of an enterprise-wise risk management practice in the Group.
    Ms. Shah has over 22 years of experience in financial services. She has executed several IPOs, rights issues, bonds, convertible bonds, project finance, private equity and M&A transactions for Indian and multinational companies. She started her career with ICICI Securities before moving on to JP Morgan where she worked with for over a decade. She joined Tata Steel in 2012. Ms. Shah has done her graduation in BA (Economics) from Mumbai University and is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

    Mr. Riten Choudhury has been appointed as the Managing Director of Tata BlueScope Steel effective from September 1, 2013. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Riten Choudhury was heading the Building Products business of Tata BlueScope Steel since 2010 as a Vice President and has successfully led the business towards sustained growth and high performance.
    Mr. Riten Choudhury has a rich experience in fields such as Profit Centre Management, Strategy, Sales and Marketing. He has held various senior positions within the Tata group. He has a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur in Marketing and Finance. He is a Chevening Scholar and has been awarded the ‘Chevening Manager for Leadership’ scholarship by the British Government.
